Monthly Eurythmy workshop morning

We have a wonderful visiting expert coming: Susanne Zipperlen is a Eurythmist with many years experience both locally and overseas supporting children and their families. See info below for details!

Eurythmy opportunity!

Eurythmy is a movement art within Steiner or Waldorf schools, often used therapeutically and also within everyday education. We are lucky enough to have Susanne as a Northland local: She is an accomplished Eurythmist experienced in therapeutic modalities. She also can support with developmental reflex work as well as non-invasive support for your child’s teeth. There is no-one else with Susanne’s unique set of skills and offerings in Aotearoa!

Susanne is kindly offering us adult eurythmy, child/parent eurythmy and parent education sessions one Saturday per month for the remainder of this year.

The more regularly you can do eurythmy, the more you'll see and feel the benefits!

The next session will take place on Saturday 20th September at our space in Cobham Place, Tikipunga.

Schedule:

8:45-9:45 am Adult Eurythmy Session: Please arrive around 8:30 am for an 8:45 am start (please enquire before coming to this part).

10am-10:45 am Children/Parent Eurythmy Class - ALL WELCOME (no booking needed)

Snack time!

11:15 am -12:30 pm Parent Education (informal and informative seminar with Susanne) - ALL WELCOME (no booking needed)

12:30 Individual therapy session (must be pre-booked)

Koha is much appreciated! We suggest $25 per family. However, the koha is a suggestion – please feel free to support the session/s and the use of the space with what you can offer – of course it can also be more to support the continued work! The main thing is that this is available to families.

If you have any questions or would like to book a therapy session please reach out to Susanne, see phone, email and website below.

Our last session:

In August, we had a fun, nourishing session with Susanne. The children loved the eurythmy story, in which Susanne told of a wonderful adventure about a quest to get the water of life to the ailing king. She incorporated enlivening eurythmy movement with the whole group alongside the animated storytelling! A highlight was jumping through the rope 'ladder' in different ways, which tested and developed our fine motor movements as well as working on us at more subtle levels.

This was followed by an informative parent talk to help us learn the 'why' of eurythmy. We also learned about Susanne's work in dental eurythmy (did you know she can help your child avoid braces?), and supporting children and adults with reflex work.

Hope to see you at the next workshop!
